School Core Values

Christ Centered. Jesus is the most important part of our school; everything we do and everything we are takes root in the cross of Christ and his salvation. Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

Excellence. Whatever we do, we do it to the best of our ability and with the highest standards in mind. Colossians 3:23-24, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

Love. We love our students, our families, our staff, and our community; we exemplify joy, passion, and a welcoming atmosphere. 1 John 4:7-8, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”

Heritage. Since 1839, we have preached the Gospel to all of God’s children; we honor those who have gone before us, who have worked to preserve our school, and we work to continue a legacy of kingdom work for generations to come. Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Family. We are inviting, welcoming, and inclusive; we seek to grow His kingdom with effective outreach and communication. Romans 12:4-5, “For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”
